COVID Safety Policies 2022
VACCINES:
Vaccines and boosters are required for all staff at TFCS
Vaccines and boosters are highly recommended for all eligible students at TFCS
TESTING:
Weekly, all full time staff and students will need to demonstrate a new negative Diagnostic Lab PCR test in order to join school on Tuesday morning. Student tests will be provided by and conducted at school and dropped off by a parent volunteer. Any donations of PCR tests are welcome!
Weekly, all full time staff and students will need to demonstrate a new negative rapid test taken in the 24 hours before 9:30am on Tuesday (or the first day of school that week). Families and staff members are responsible for sourcing their own rapid tests. Rapid tests are provided free by the city and are also available for purchase
Any visitors or substitutes or part-time staff will be asked to administer a rapid test provided by TFCS when they arrive at school before interacting with students.
MASKING:
Masks are required indoors and outdoors at all times including, except when eating and drinking or doing active outdoor play. Masks need to be N95, KN95 or 3 layer surgical masks.
QUARANTINE:
If students or staff develop COVID -19 symptoms, they need to leave school (or not come) and won’t be able to return in-person until they can show a negative PCR and rapid test.
If TFCS becomes aware that a person who tested positive for COVID has been at the school, the students will be released early and the next 7 days will be on ZOOM. Everyone will need to show a negative test to return to quarantine in their homes until they are able to verify if they are infected or not through a COVID test. Infected student/s or staff will be able to return to person after:
At least 14 days since symptoms first appeared AND
24 hours with no fever without fever reducing medication AND
other symptoms of COVID-19 are improving
OR a negative COVID-19 test result when applicable
After a 2nd positive COVID among staff or students, we will transition to ZOOM and re-evaluate protocol.
EXEMPTIONS:
If a student has pre-existing health conditions that present like COVID symptoms, they will be asked for written or verbal documentation from a health care provider to avoid being asked to stay home when those symptoms present.
